Ants in a Better Place

"Great"

date: March 23, 2008

You really paint a soundscape with your ambient songs. I have this and strange petals in my ambient folder on my computer :D

March 24, 2008

Author's Response:

I try to paint a soundscape with every song. I don't see much of a point otherwise. That's what I want to get from music - another place, another time, a living breathing thing. Maybe that's why I hate most other genres, haha. Thanks for the review!

"Haha!"

date: December 18, 2007

Yeah, I can tell you put a lot of work into this and it sounds just fine. If you perfectly imitated Mozart wouldn't that completely defy the point of creativity? Good job on your piece.

Author's Response:

ya I think it sounds good - I even cut the other half out because I found it too repetetive :)

thanks for the review!

Late Baroque Loop

"Very nice!"

submission: Late Baroque Loop
date: August 1, 2007

I enjoyed this piece. Good harmonics and great structure!

Author's Response:

thanx...
i tried to make it in late baroque style, so, all the structure and harmony are kind of "scholastic"
thanx for review

Farms in Distance

"Yeah, pretty calming hehe"

submission: Farms in Distance
date: June 8, 2007

Hey, nice track. Like the calming feel to it. It kind of sounds like some sort of a cinematic piece, most likely, as you say, in some sort of field. Very emotional, and quite good! Thanks for the submit, check out my stuff if you get the time ^_^

Author's Response:

Sure will, buddy! Thanks for the review.

{F-777} Dream Addiction

"yeah!"

date: June 8, 2007

Hey what's up. Nice track. Like the transitions and it's pretty nice. 18 hours? dang! I find I need to finish most songs all in one rush rather than saving them and working on them later. Anyways, cool song, and if you want, check out some of my songs.

Author's Response:

Thanks and yes i will check out your music.

Zora's Domain Remix

"Overall Ok"

date: March 7, 2007

It sounds a lot like you did this with SimSynth and and/or a midi. Good effort, but try to use something other than simsynth's basic presets. Maybe it's just me, but I've heard that sound a bunch of times on NG. hehe

Author's Response:

Yeah, this would be the one that I used SimSynth the most on. Sorry if you don't like that or something.

YMCA : accoustic version.

"Good Job"

date: February 27, 2007

If you remixed the original yourself than extra props. Good playing, but the recording is a little low in quality. If you have a keyboard and a midi in/out cable, you can hook it up to your computer, and depending on your software, it should be able to export midi. You might have to read a guide on this whole thing if you want to try it. Or you can get an awesome recording studio! lol just ranting nothing else to do. Good song though keep it up.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, sir ! Yep, it was a real piano. Not a MIDI sample. And yes, I have a MIDI software and a Midi in/out cable. But I don't know if my cable still works. I'll see about that. Well thanks for the advice ! A recording studio ? Hemmm ... I wish I had one at home ! LMAO

Bience -- Shen

"Awesome feel"

submission: Bience -- Shen
date: February 27, 2007

I liked the way this song felt about up until the kick comes in. I think you need to do more with it there or else it becomes a little bland, but the style and feel of this song is awesome! Good progression for this type of ambiance. Keep it up ^_^

Author's Response:

Thanks :D. And, I did question the kick, because it was an abmient song to begin with. Thanks for the review :D
